Efficient use of water and resources reduces impact to the environment while helping to produce better quality crops at a lower cost. As a leader in environmental stewardship of land and water, Hale Farms employs a variety of high-tech methods in order to achieve this efficiency. Here is a list of the technologies we use:

	Up to 20% reduction in water and energy use by implementing conservation projects.
	Use of low pressure Center Pivot sprinkler systems.   (see above photo)
	Use of efficient Drip Irrigation systems.
	Soil moisture monitoring using Neutron Probes.
	Use of satellite-based crop evapotranspiration rate services - Northwest Irrigation Network
	Use of Aerial Infrared photography to detect and correct soil moisture and/or crop disease problems.
	Use of a Radio Telemtry system to remotely monitor and control irrigation systems and weather data.
	Weekly laboratory analysis and monitoring of soil and crop fertility level.
	Organic Farming, certified by Oregon Tilth.
